Hamdard is not merely a commercial enterprise but is an institution
in itself. It has dedicated itself wholeheartedly to national uplift
and welfare of the people. Its entire proceeds are spent in national
and international humanitarian pursuits through Hamdard Foundation
Pakistan.
Hamdard Foundation
Pakistan was established in 1964 in order to administer and control
the charitable and philanthropic work separately and independently
from a business unit. It is the first NGO of its nature that came
into being in Pakistan.
Hamdard
Foundation had a broad-based program that includes the promotion
of Eastern Medicine/Alternative Medicine and establishment of medical
colleges, hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, providing free or low-cost
treatment to common man, research laboratories for herbs and many
other social welfare and philanthropic activities.
The
Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has also certain general objectives
such as establishment of academic, educational, professional and
commercial institutes for general welfare of the society and assisting
those already in existence, building of mosques, schools, training
institutes as well as to assist authors, intellectuals, scholars
and teachers in their academic pursuits.

Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan finances and supports the Foundation's
projects and programs of public welfare and service to humanity
